Thousands of Washington metro singles upload photos to online dating sites and scan bars in hopes of finding their next love interest.

D.C. singles seek love at organized events.

Some events have themes that attract people with similar demographics or interests such as travel lovers, black Americans, fitness buffs or people who are 35 and older. This takes the stress out of finding a match and gives people a topic to discuss. At any good speed-dating event, many people are not looking for love.
